The Veterans Day flag raising ceremony was held at Spirit Plaza and One Woodward, November 12, 2018. Poppies were distributed at several buildings around downtown Detroit. The ceremony began at 10:30 a.m. and was followed by a moment of silence at 11:00 am to give respect for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Look at the future site of the Monroe Blocks, 400 distinctively-designed residential units which will be both for sale and for rent and include 20 percent affordable units. Vertical construction on the new units—ranging from apartments, duplexes and townhomes to carriage homes and hybrid townhomes—is scheduled to begin this fall with completion to be phased in during the next three years.
